We provide flare packages for low-pressure vent and relief systems that are designed to safely combust gases. These gases are typically waste or toxic which are unable to use commercially, plant start-up/shutdown, or inventing/safety relief situations.
In addition to the flare stack typically a Flare Knock Out Drum (designed to remove any free liquids in the flare gas) and/or a flare seal drum (designed to prevent any flashback/flameout at the flare tip and the ingress of air into the flare header) can be provided as optional items.
The nozzle in our low-pressure flare systems is designed to create a sub-sonic velocity gas flow based on the maximum available pressure.
Our flares are typically constructed from stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant alloys and our design is in full accordance with API 537 and API 521 codes. In sour service applications, materials are selected in accordance with NACE MR-0103/ISO 17493 and/or NACE MR-0175/ISO 16156.
Continuously burning pilots in accordance with API 537 will be also provided and constructed from heat-resistant material to withstand high temperatures.
Pilot Ignition is via one of our high-reliability options such as Flame Front Generation (FFG), High Energy Ignition (HEI), or High Tension (HT). These are fitted with a variety of control and instrumentation options.
